Stompin’ Trees + Les Oreilles de Criss
December 31 @ 10:00 PM
8$ / entrée
From the troubled mind of a mad man comes a melody. Through the whiskey-soaked vocal chords comes a sound. Slide to steel to seal the deal. From the streets of Vancouver to the alleys of Montréal.
Stompin’ Trees are a modern interpretation of what music once was, that evokes the echoes of old blues songs in the mountains of repertoire that has come since. Raw folk in a refined form, understanding in the eye of the storm.
The band has been playing festivals and bars since 2014. They were a collective until 2016, at wich point they started working on their first full-lenght record, to be released in the fall of 2019. The audience, drenched in sweat with sore limbs from dancing, will finally be able to take Stompin’ Trees home with them, to be rocked to sleep by broken lulabies.
Trio de chanteurs- musiciens qui, depuis 2015, explorent et défrichent le folklore québécois, irlandais et américain pour faire danser la compagnie et faire revivre de vieilles histoires.
